  1. Oh goodness, visiting Lapland is on my bucket list and reading this post has prompted me to push this up several notches. I have mostly heard of Rovaniemi and Levi – but I am happy to read of your other recommended places too. Of course I will add snow mobiling to my list of to-dos! Thanks for the useful tips.

  2. Finnish Lapland in winter is so on my list, it looks amazing and sounds even better! I was only in Swedish Lapland once, and that in summer, but I feel like I have to go back in winter. Snowmobiling there must have been incredible there and it sounds like you had lots of fun. That picture with the sunset and the tracks in the snow at apukka is pretty epic by the way!

  6. I’m always looking for opportunities to try different outdoor sports activities. We have snow mobiling here in India as well but I would rather love to try it out here in Lapland because it just looks like a whole different scale of mobiling experience. I also want to see the Northern lights in Apukka. Also thanks for the guide to Lapland. It was a great help!

That’s nice that they provide gear to wear, but I totally understand bringing your own. But it’s so convenient if you’re traveling from afar. It looks like snowmobiling in Lapland is so fun and such a beautiful way to see the area. I’d love to head there someday!

  8. We have Lapland on our list to visit for the Northern Lights. But a snowmobile adventure sounds like a lot of fun. I used to snowmobile many years ago and know that I would want my own machine to be easier on my back. Interesting to read that there are now electric versions available. Awesome that there are many different spots to try this fun activity.

  9. I would live to do this. There are destinations for snowmobiling in India. But of course, nothing can match the Lapland experience. That is far colder and different geography.

  10. Snowmobiles in Lapland seem to be an exciting trip! I would love to try this kind of activity in the winter scenery. It’s great to know that trails have different difficulty levels. For sure wearing good base layers is a must. These are great tips on how to prepare for such a winter adventure. Great to know that it is possible to rent boots and snowsuits. I love this tip about the best snowmobile areas in Lapland outside of Rovaniemi, like Levi or Sirkka.
