Preparing Your Body  for  Adventure Trips

I will be bringing you a range of articles soon to help you physically prepare for upcoming adventures. These articles will be written by me (Nicole) the founder of Travels and Wandering. Alongside travelling for my running this blog and travelling, I have over 16 years of experience in sports coaching, science, outdoor education and fitness which she will share with you. I am currently doing a PhD in applied Strength and Conditioning for rock climbing and work with a number of regional, national and international athletes including adventure sports atheletes.


I have an MSc in sports and exercise science, a BSc (hons) in strength and conditioning and over 30 qualifications in physical preperation, fitness and sports coaching. I am actively involved with research in strength and conditioning, human biomechanics, and physiology. I currently lecture on a range of modules for Degree level modules in these topics.
